Three natural fruit juices you can make in 5 minutes: strawberry and grape, pineapple with celery and carrot, and plum. Here is what goes into each one, how to make it and when to drink it. None of them uses table sugar; the strawberry one has a tablespoon of honey, which you can leave out if you want it unsweetened.

    The 3 recipes

Before you start: wash the fruit well and, if you can, choose organic. Make the juice right before you drink it, which is when it best keeps its nutrients.

    1. Strawberry and grape juice

A refreshing juice that provides antioxidants. Strawberries and grapes bring potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium, and strawberries also bring vitamin C.

    Ingredients:

    • 6 strawberries
    • 1 cup of chopped grapes
    • 1 tablespoon of honey
    • The juice of 2 lemons
    • 2 slices of pineapple

How to make it: put the fruit in a food processor or blender until it is crushed. Then mix it with the lemon juice, add the tablespoon of honey and it is ready.

When to drink it: it goes well every day in the morning.

    2. Pineapple, celery and carrot juice

A juice with fiber and a fresh taste. The fiber in the pineapple, celery, carrot and apple helps good digestion and the body's natural rhythm for going to the bathroom.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 stalk of celery
    • 2 slices of pineapple
    • 2 carrots, peeled and cut in half
    • 1 squeezed lemon
    • 1 yellow apple

How to make it: put the fruit and the celery in the processor until you get a thick juice. Then mix it with the lemon juice.

When to drink it: in the morning or after dinner; three times a week is fine.

    3. Plum juice

Plums are a good way to get more fruit into your day. They have fiber, which helps digestion and regularity.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 large green pears
    • ¾ cup of chopped plums
    • 1 large grapefruit
    • 1 large celery stalk
    • ¼ of a small lemon

How to make it: put all the ingredients in the blender or processor. When everything is mixed, serve it right away.

When to drink it: before breakfast, on the days you want.

Tips to get more out of them

    • Drink them freshly made. Cut fruit exposed to the air loses vitamin C quickly.
    • Do not strain them too much. The more pulp you leave, the more fiber stays in the glass. Straining the juice leaves out a good part of the fiber; that is why juice goes along with whole fruit, it does not replace it.
    • Have them with food. A glass of juice goes better with breakfast or with something to eat than on its own.
