    What the label says

    • «N-acetyl L-tyrosine is a more rapidly absorbed and bioavailable form of the amino acid L-tyrosine, and is less prone to urinary excretion.*»
    • «L-Tyrosine is converted in the body to key biological compounds, including epinephrine, dopamine, L-dopa, CoQ10, thyroid hormones, and melanin.*»
    • «The B vitamins pyridoxine (B-6) and folic acid are provided to assist in the conversion process.*»

Its ingredients and what they do in the body

L-tyrosine. It is an amino acid found in protein foods, which the body also makes from another amino acid, phenylalanine. As the label says, it is a building block for dopamine, epinephrine (adrenaline), thyroid hormones and melanin, the pigment of skin and hair. The «N-acetyl» form has an acetyl group attached to tyrosine; faster absorption is the manufacturer's claim.*

Vitamin B6. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements explains that vitamin B6 takes part in more than 100 enzyme reactions, mostly in protein and amino acid metabolism.

Folate (folic acid). According to the same office, folate helps make DNA and takes part in amino acid metabolism.

These explanations describe normal body functions; they are not results measured with this product.
